FormZend

Documentation Clear guides. Fast setup.

Install the plugin, design a template, connect a notification, and send a test—step by step, without rebuilding your forms.

Download & install

Get FormZend running on your site

Start free with WordPress core emails, then activate a paid license when you need third-party integrations.

  1. Download FormZend free

Download the FormZend zip from formzend.com. No purchase or license key is required to design WordPress core emails.

  2. Install in WordPress

In wp-admin go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the zip, install, and activate FormZend.

  3. Activate a license when needed

WordPress core email features work free. To connect Gravity Forms, Contact Form 7, Ninja Forms, WPForms, or Fluent Forms, purchase a plan and activate its license key.

  4. Confirm mail works

FormZend uses your site’s normal WordPress mail process. A working SMTP setup is recommended before you send tests.

Create a template

Design once in the block editor

Build a reusable email with the focused Gutenberg block set—no separate canvas.

  1. Add a FormZend email

Create a new FormZend email from the admin menu. You’ll land in the WordPress block editor with email-ready blocks.

  2. Lay out the message

Use content, layout, image, button, table, and social blocks to match your brand. Keep hierarchy clear for inbox clients.

  3. Insert merge tags

Add provider-aware merge tags for names, fields, and dynamic values. Tags resolve from the connected form or system email source.

  4. Publish the template

Publish when the design is ready. Unpublished drafts can’t be assigned to notifications yet.

Connect a notification

Assign the template where email already sends

Enable FormZend inside the notification settings you already use—same flow on every provider.

  1. Open notification settings

In your form plugin (or WordPress system email settings), open the notification you want to brand.

  2. Enable FormZend

Turn on FormZend for that notification. Recipients, subjects, and sending rules stay with the provider.

  3. Choose a published template

Select the FormZend email you published. One template can be reused across forms and providers.

  4. Preview and test

Preview with sample or recent entry data, send a test, then save. FormZend renders whenever that notification fires.

Preview & test

See real data before anything goes live

Validate merge tags and layout with representative values—no endless form re-submits.

  1. Pick preview data

Use sample values or permitted recent entries so merge tags show realistic content in the editor preview.

  2. Check the layout

Confirm spacing, images, and buttons look right with filled-in fields—especially longer answers and empty optional fields.

  3. Send a test email

Use the test-send workflow to your inbox. If nothing arrives, fix WordPress mail / SMTP first, then retry.

  4. Go live

Once the test looks good, leave FormZend enabled on the notification. Future sends use the branded template automatically.

Licensing

Plans, sites, and renewals

How site counts work—and what happens if a license lapses.

  1. Pick by site count

The free download includes the full designer for WordPress core emails. Paid plans unlock all third-party integrations: Starter covers one site, Professional up to 25, and Agency up to 100.

  2. Activate per site

Enter your license key on each site you want to use. Stay within your plan’s site allowance.

  3. Upgrade when you grow

Move up a plan when you need more sites. Contact support if you need help switching keys or invoices.

  4. If a license expires

Existing templates keep rendering. Plugin software updates pause until the license is active again.
